Very nice hotel at the beautiful Lake Lipno . Hotel is very charming and has a great atmosphere.
We booked a half board, we loved the food. My wife really enjoyed massages and pedicure; our kids loved the swimming pool and whirlpool. There is only one thing I don’t like - I gained 3 kg within a week…..

The hotel was fairly clean, but that's about the end of the positives.
Breakfast was very basic, bread with awful coffee from a battered flask.
Parking was not available, and we had to park on the street.
Hard bed, nasty polyester linnen which felt like a sleeping bag. Apparently decorated by a madman with a penchant for bright colours.
The dining area looked nice though.

Hotel Maxant Frymburk in Frymburk Hrdonov, Southern Bohemia
Very nice family operated hotel, you can feel the friendly atmosphere in every part of this hotel. It has its own spa with swimming pool, offers massages, manicure, pedicure…Restaurant offers mainly yummy Czech cuisine for reasonable prices.
The Lake Lipno is beautiful piece of nature, take your bike or just hike the beautiful national park SUMAVA. And after your day in the nature, you can relax in the hotel spa or in a restaurant with ice cold Czech beer!

Excellently clean, spacious accommodation, dining area, bar, BBQ, pation. The hotel & staff were very biker friendly towards us 21 Harley Davidson riding UK guests aged 50 to 76 who stayed for 4 nights half-board.
Large and airy rooms. TV and nice furniture. Some rooms had hairdryers so had to be requested from Reception. No kettle/tea/coffee in the rooms (usually a UK expectation only). Swifts, House Martins and sparrows all over the place. Heard a cuckoo one morning, (now rare in the UK). ... Read more

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel with 21 friends. We were touring Europe on Harley Davidson motorcycles. This hotel and its staff were excellent. We would all definately stay there again. The surrounding countryside was stunning. The hotel is a short distance from Cesky Krumlov, one of the most picturesque walled towns in the region. The hotel has two 9 pin bowling lanes and 3 Segways for use by guests - great fun! Read more
