On the border / visa
As regards to the customs rules, they are the same as in the whole of Turkey. When arriving, tourists must purchase a visa, which costs $ 20 or 15E. Vaccinations

Mentality / tradition
The Turks are very positive about life. Always smiling and willing to help. Turkey is an ideal place to relax for families with children, the Turks simply love children. Each child encountered by them on the street is endowed with a smile. Every child in Turkey is a treasure of the nation, therefore the visiting youngsters are greeted kindly. Islam plays a very important role in Turkish culture, because Muslims are the largest religious group in the whole of Turkey. Adherence to the Quran is regarded as sacred.

Religion
99% of the Turkish population profess to Islam. Most of them are religious. The Turks of Shiite origin reside mainley in areas of south-eastern Turkey. The most important point of Islam, as well as in Arab countries is the belief that God is one and Muhammad is his prophet, pray five times a day, giving alms, fasting in Ramadan (the Muslim calendar, according to) and take place at least once a pilgrimage to Mecca.
