This building should never have been built. Located a few yards behind the railway station on what we suspect is a mainline railway, even with the double glazed window units every train that passed felt as though it was about to come through our room - and that happened all through the night. Both of us felt like wrecks the next day. Abysmal. Avoid avoid! Read more

We stayed at the Rowton Castle Hotel for my cousin's wedding and it was a wonderful occasion. It has beautiful grounds and a lovely traditional English feel. The buffet breakfast was great and I especially enjoyed the mini pots of jam. as I was there for the wedding I don't know what the local area has to offer but the landscape was beautiful. Read more

Whilst staying for 1 night at the hotel in April 2012 my credit card, debit card and driving license were stolen from my purse which was in my bedroom all day and evening as i was attending my friends wedding.
The thieves managed to steal over £1500 of my money. On reporting to this to the hotel as well as the authorities. The Hotel Manager had no interest in my distress and was most rude implying i was lying as only she had access to bedrooms.
