Their unique style is demonstrated in their buildings which tend to resemble those found in Amsterdam. The beautiful pastel coloured buildings make a wonderful seafront picture.

EventsCarnival is a main event in Curacao. The festival takesplace in February and many groups take the opportunity to dress up in themed costumes in bright colours for the celebration. At this time everyone is in theparty spirit and people enjoy dancing and singing whilst watching the carnival parade.
On the 5th of NovemberCuracao holds the Amstel Curacao Race. This cycling event features many top athletes who will compete against each other. Around the event there are otherevents which take place for the guests, for example activities like tug of war and performances by known artists. It is an exciting time for Curacao.
Culinary Specialities
Just like music, food is also an important part of Curacao living. Curacao is home to a mix of colours and flavours. Some specialties include Karko (conch meat) kabritu Stoba (goat meat) and Keshi Yena (filled cheese). When in Cacao it is a great chance to try seafood as there is a large range of freshly caught seafood available.
It is a must to try the curacao liqueur made from bitter orange and a mixture of spices blended.
