Nestling in the mountains a few km North East of Neapoli, this young, relaxed, yet vibrant little sanctuary (only 3 months old at the time of review) offers a welcome unlike any we as a family have received in Crete. Run by a committed husband and wife team as well as their like minded staff, it gives a warm, friendly, family feel right from the word GO. The entry fee of 10 euro (adult) and 6 euro (child) left me feeling like I was robbing them XD, a rare thing indeed during any season let alone high holiday season :)!
The various species are stunning, their conditions exemplarily kept with all looking well and happy is fantastic to see. The landscaping of the park is again very young, but when coupled to the fact that this team has done all the work itself in such a short timeframe, its nothing short of miraculous.
Walk around the park then enjoy VERY reasonably priced refreshments under the beautifully built timber and palm leafed terrace looking out over a stunning vista of the valley and mountain's beyond, with no high pressure selling or pushy advertising strewn around the place it offers that one thing that can sometimes escape the busy holidaying family, ABSOLUTE PEACE AND SORENITY :D
We are already looking forward to another visit, when the flora and fauna has been given time to mature and this hard working team add the proposed extension and website they are already beavering away on.
In short, a quality outing, VERY well priced in a stunning location.
