Getting to Anthony-Quinn Bay
To get to the Anthony-Quinn Bay you need to take the main road comingfrom Rhodes towards Lindos. Take the exit Ladiko. You will then get to the Bayof Ladiko. Leave this on your right-hand side. Via a small road you will thenreach the Anthony-Quinn Bay.
The Beach
The Bay lies between two cliffs. The beach is made of pebbles, making it necessary to rent a lounge chair for 8 euros. Because the water is not very deep it is a perfect bay for families with small children. Moreover, it is very well suited for snorkeling, because between the cliffs and the reef the underwater world can be seen in the crystal clear water.
Due to its increasing popularity, the bay is become more frequented each year.The most popular time for visitors is between the moths of July and August as any other time the water is too cold. There is also a canteen located at the top of the rocks where visitors can enjoy midday refreshment.
Origin of the name
The Anthony-Quinn Bay got its name from the movie “The Guns of Navarone”. The movie was partially filmed at this bay and the main character, Anthony Quinn received the bay as a present. However, in the 1990s, the present was revoked and only the name remains.

Rhodos Island has a hot, dry summer and mild winters.In July and August the average temperature during the day is 28 Celsius and 22 Celsius at night. Rainfall is usually very limited, but showers can be expected between October and March.
