Aquaworld Aquarium is a small, hand-made aquarium in Hersonissos, Crete. It displays local sea life and a selection of reptiles from around the world. Most of the animals at Aquaworld were either rescued by the owners or were taken in as unwanted pets. Many of them can be handled and photos taken of them. Entrance costs 6 euros for adults and 4 euros for children - then you get a "membership" card and can return as many times as you want during your holiday. Aquaworld is open from 1st April until 31st October and the hours are 10.00 - 18.00 (last entry 17.15). It can be found within 100m of bus stop number 20, about 50m behind the Spar supermarket in Hersonissos.
