Description
The Saxon Elector August the Strong acquired the estate in 1723 and it was here that the architect of the Zwinger Palace, Daniel Pöppelmann, designed one of Germany's most perfect Baroque gardens for him. Visitors are enchanted by its gently curving slopes, its airy breadth and over 50 sculptures which are still preserved.
