Belle Mare
Belle Mare beach is a 2 km long sand beach located in the eastern part of Mauritius. The beach is located between Belle Mare and Ponte de Flacq and is famous for its white sand.

Activities
Due to the long cove of the beach Belle Mare is the perfect location for Wind and Kite surfing. Nevertheless, sunbathing is also an enjoyed pastime activity. For those who want a little excitement you can rent a paddle boat or go snorkeling/diving. If you prefer lying in the sun you need to bring your own towel, etc. as no lounge chairs are supplied.
Thanks to the trees on the beach shade is usually not hard to find. Due to the scarce building density it is still possible to find secluded beaches where you can enjoy nature. The beach is ideal for families as the water meets the beach at a very flat spot.Additionally the beach is very wide, allowing for many beach activities to be possible.
 
Some of the nearby hotels allow non-guests to partake in activities so make sure to inform yourself aheadof time.

Climate
The climate for Ile de Gabriele is tropical. The summer months are humid and range from November to April, averaging 25 Celsius. The winter months, ranging from June to September, are cool and dry, with temperatures around 20 Celsius.
