Description
After a 3 km long underground train journey in a crew carriage, you reach Europe's biggest tin chambers. The vaults are 12 m high and 45 m long and they also provide the imposing setting for concerts with the finest acoustics. Pöhla (population of 1400), 12 km south-east of Schwarzenberg, was a centre of mining for tin, iron, silver, lead, copper and uranium from the 17th to the 20th century.
Travel 3 km through the mountain in the personnel transport vehicle.
