Kings Park Perth's botanical Gardens are much bigger than you might think.
My friend and I visited in August 2010 which is the start of the Australian spring. It was chilly but very clear and the views are amazing.
We walked along the coastal road from Perth till we found the entrance on the right hand side (it's quite a long walk but really nice to walk along Swan River). The park is very large and there is a lot to see. My favourite plant was the Kangaroos paw and I loved seeing all the parrots and parakeets in the trees.
