The Cirque du Soleil (French for: “Circus of the Sun”) is an artistic entertainment company based in Quebec. They describe their shows as a “dramatic mix of circusarts and street entertainment”.
The Cirque du Soleil company has performed on every continent except Antarctica. The shows normally tour under a Grand Chapiteau, large blue and yellow striped tents. They perform different shows in various countries, including resident shows and touring shows. All the performances are colourful and vibrant, portray different circus styles from around the world and tell a story, may it be based on mythology, magical daydreams or fairy tales.
