The German Emigration Center is located on the site where the ships departed from the mainland. over 7 million emigrants gathered bremerhaven between 1830 and 1974 to board a ship headed for the new world. it is europes largest theme museum specializing on the topic of emigration. elaborat reconstructions and multimedia productions are used to illustrate a trip through time and history of emigration which spans two centuries.
