The Gornergrat Bahn is a railway which offers the discovery of the Alps by riding through it. The Bahn has been making the ascent to the mountains for more than 100 years and is a wonderful experience. The Bahn passes by impressive bridges, tunnels, galleries, forests, alpine meadows, rocky gorges, tarns and of course the Matterhorn.

Practical information:
The railway goes all year round, winter and summer. It rotates in a surrounding of 29 peaks rising to above 4000 m.
The railway departs every 24 minutes from Zermatt ascending the Gornergrat.
The price ranges depending on whether you buy a oneway or return ticket and how far you want to travel to. Ranging from about 18€ to 39€ oneway and 26€ to 78€ return.
