Famous Grand Palace is the residence of Thai kings at the Chao Phraya River. Since the ancient imperial expansion large-scale ancient buildings were build as they can be seen today. The Grand Palace shows a collection of Thai paintings, sculptures, architectural art essence.There are four magnificent Grand Palace buildings:

- Dusit Maha Prasad,
- Amarin Palace (Amarin Winitchai Hall) and
- Jade Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaeo).
In 1946, Rama IX moved to the new Dara Palace. Since then, the Grand Palace is open to the public. The Grand palace hosts large-scale ceremonies on all national festivals.
