KayakoyA village located south of Fethiye where originally Greek speaking Christians lived until 1923. The village is now preserved as a museum village consisting of old rundown buildings such a churches and old Greek houses which are owned by the Turkish government.
Kayakoy was adopted by the UNESCO as a world friendship and peace village. Some visitors enjoy wandering around the ghost town exploring the ruins and some visitors enjoy hiking on the marked trail south of Kayakoy known as Cold Water Bay.
The route is marked out with a series of dots therefore making it hard to get lost.
There are frequent minibuses from Fethiye from the main street ofdowntown Fethiye.
