Description
The castle is the landmark symbol of Nuremberg and one of the best-preserved of its kind. All the established kings and emperors spent some time here between 1050 and 1571 and held their imperial diets and courtly sessions. The museum detailing the castle's history gives a comprehensive insight into this period.
The Hohenstaufen went in and out here and Kaiser Karl IV enacted the "Golden Bull".
