Description
The Electoral Castle with the imposing, four-storey tower was built at the start of the 14th century. For many years, it was the residence of the electoral princes of Mainz. In addition to the rose garden, the Gutenberg memorial is another one of the highlights. This memorial commemorates the inventor of the printing press, who lived in Eltville.
