Reviews: New York Central Park
General description: New York Central Park
Central Park is the lungs of New York. The lush green park is 4km long and 800m wide. Its design matches the grid network of roads around it and so it is also a rectangle with perfectly straight sides. It begins in the South on level with 60th street and ends in the North at the 110th street. In the West and East it is bordered by Central Park West and Fifth Avenue. The Park is bigger than the country of Monaco!Creating Central Park
It took 20 years to build the parkas millions of carts of sand and gravel had to be dumped in the marsh to dry itout and create hills and the gardens that are there now. It was all done underthe guidance of landscape designer and writer Frederick L. Olmstedt andarchitect Calvert Faux. Finally it was finished in 1876 and the grand openingceremony could take place.

Walk around yourself or sit and watch people. Nice place for a day out in the sun. Many buses take you directly to central park and there are some nice flats around there to look at as well.
Museums are also right beside it. Read more
