It is included in one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture not only in France but the whole of Europe. A major recognition of this cathedral is the book by Victor Hugo “The Hunchback of Notre-Dame”. Many historic events took place at the Cathedral which highlight its importance to France’s history.
Visiting Notre Dame
Opening times: Daily from 7:45am to 6:45pm. (7:15pm on Saturdays & Sundays).
Night services are held from May to October.
- Entrance is free; however the cathedral tower and Treasury require entrance fees.
