Description
Since 1889 prominent Moscow figures have been buried in the cemetery beside the New Virgin Monastery, including the writers Gogol and Chekov, Stalin's wife, Nadezhda Aliluyeva, and Boris Yeltsin. The headstones are the work of famous sculptors.
