Description
It is the biggest and most beautiful monastery complex in Moscow and is a UN designated world heritage site. In the central Smolensk Cathedral, old 16th century frescos have been preserved which are as impressive as the six-storey bell tower.
Awkward wives and sisters disappeared behind these fortified walls.
