A place travelers can visit Olympic Stadium
Reviews: Olympic Stadium
General description: Olympic Stadium
DescriptionThe Olympic Stadium (Olympiastadion) in Berlin was originally built for the 1936 Summer Olympics; created by German architect Werner March, the complex included the stadium itself, the "Maifeld", a huge field used for Nazi propaganda events, and an open-air arena, which resembled an ancient amphitheatre.
Now it holds approximately 75,000 spectators and is Germanys biggest stadium. You can still see its original architecture and get a feel for its enormous dimensions. After being renovated, the Olympic Stadium now features a translucent oval roof and a distinct blue racetrack, which reflects the color of the Berlin soccer club Hertha BSC.
