Praia Santa Monica

SantaMonica was named after the famous Californian beach. It offers 18km of white, sandy beaches and turquoise water. It was rated as being one of the world’sbest beaches by the Telegraph.

It is said to be one of the prettiest beaches on the island of Boa Vista, as it is still unspoilt and deserted. Due to its position on the southern part of the island it is very sheltered and ideal for swimming and sunbathing.

Getting around

Due to the road condition it is recommended to rent a jeep, a quad or a dirt bike. You can also take a boat tour to see the beach from a different angle.

Location of Praia Santa Monica

The Beachis located in the southern part of Boa Vista, and is accessible via Sal Rei orProvação Velha. Praia Santa Monica extends from the westernmost point to the southernmost point on the island.

Climate

The climate is described as a dry-tropical climate. The average temperature lies between 22 and 26 Celsius.

Caution
