Building the Rathaus city hall
The Vienna Rathaus is built between 1872 and 1883. The city hall was designed in the Gothic style by Friedrich von Schmidt and is one of the most photographed spots in Vienna. It's grand turrets and windows make it picture postcard perfect and many a tourist poses before it.

Rathaus Park
The Rathaus also has a beautiful park which is great for relaxation and walks. In the winter the square in front of the town hall the "Rathaus Platz" hosts a traditional Austrian Christmas market with delicious foods and sparkling lights.
