During my ERASMUS year in Berlin we took a boat trip on the Spree. I was surprised how much you could see from the river. We went past most of the main sites and it's great to see buildings from angles you don't normally experience them from.
The best bit about the boat trip on the Spree during the summer however is; that you get to see the best riverside sunbathing spots. I discovered little patches of empty green all along the bank I would've never seen in passing. Beautiful secluded patches for picnicking on the river! Read more
