Description
Badenweiler's bathing tradition extends right back to Roman times. Back in 1784 in the spa gardens, the ruins of baths created in the 2nd century AD as a 95 m long and 35 m wide complex were found. They are considered to be the best-preserved ancient bathhouse building in the country. As well as the water pools, there were also sweating baths and cold baths.
