Sant'Elmo fortress
From the third castle, a stone fortification from the days of Anjou on the eastern edge of the Vomero plateau, you get a one of the most beautiful views possible of the Gulf. Before it, lies the big Certosan monastery Certosa di San Martino (now a museum).
