Description
Scarista Beach in the west of Harris is so light, long and romantic, with such fine sand, that it's quite a popular spot for weddings. Take the main road from Tarbert in the direction of Rodel, and you'll see the beach after around 15 km. There are no kiosks, and it's solitary enough to take a picnic hamper and two glasses, and watch the sun setting.
Caribbean beaches pale in comparison with this desert island hideaway on Harris.
