Description
This complex dates back to a Benedictine monastery from 1106. After suffering severe damage in the Second World War, it was rebuilt in a historicising style. The tradition of wine growing is completely authentic though. The "world's first Riesling vineyard" is also said to be where the late harvest wine was invented.
