The Schloss Schönbrunn Palace is one of the most popular tourist attractions. The former Habsburg Summer Residence has a lot to offer, with its large park, the Palm House and much more.
Building Schloss Schönbrunn Palace
Schönbrunn Palace was buildt in the Rococo style over a quite a period of time by the Austrian Royal Family. It started in the 17th century under Emperoro Leopold I and was finished by Maria Theresa half a century later.
Schloss Schönbrunn Palace gardens
The gardens stretch out in front of the beautiful sunshine palace and include many sculptures. The gardens include great fountains, a French garden, English garden, arboretum and botanical garden amongst other.
Visiting the Royal Palace
The palace and gardens are well worth a visit and a highlight of a Vienna trip.

The imperial palace with its marvelous Gardens and the bordering Zoo are definitly worth a trip. If you happen to use public transport during your trip and want to get a great view over the premises, take the subway U3 to Johnstrasse and the Bus 10A to Schönbrunn. That is a perfect way to get a marvelous view of the Castle, the Gardens and the Gloriette (which is the small Café on the other side of the palace - great view as well)
