Description
This castle complex is situated in a magnificent location on a hillside. The residential tower was constructed in 1330 and was home to the Greiffenclaus, an old noble family which until recently was the oldest wine-growing family in the world. After the last count committed suicide in 1997, the local savings bank successfully took over the running of the wine-growing business.
