SeaWorld Florida is a water theme park located in Orlando and founded in 1964. It is around 10 minutes from the downtown Orlando and 15 minutes from Orlando International
Airport.
The theme park gives you a fascinating glimpse into the beauty and mystery of the world under the sea. Unforgettable shows, close encounters with the sea creatures and thrilling rides make this park
into the most popular marine adventure park in the world.
One Ocean
This is one of SeaWorld's headlining show's featuring the ambassadors of the sea - the killer whales! It is termed the Killer whale ballet.
Other popular attractions:
SharkEncounter - where you can see a variety of different sharks, eels, venomous fish and other interesting marine species.
Dolphin Cove - a 700,000 gallon lagoon that is home to a number of playful bottle-nose dolphins.
Clyde & Seamore Take Pirate Island - A fun show staring sea lions and otters.
Wild Arctic - an ecosystem which is the home to polar bears, beluga whales, seals, walruses and trout.
Shamu's Happy Harbor - a four storey tower with nets, tunnels and slides.
The Waterfront
When you've finished exploring the delights and attractions of SeaWorld Orlando join the festivities at "The Waterfront". It offers an exciting collection of specialty shops, variety of restaurants
and entertainment inspired by the vibrant sights and sounds of the world's great seaports.
The Waterfront is also home to Makahiki Luau, a lively celebration of music, dance and delicious cuisine of the Pacific Islands. The Makahiki Luau is held daily at 18:30 at Sea World Orlando's
Seafire Inn. Advance booking is necessary.
Annual Events
Seasonal events include SeaWorld Orlando Animal adventures Jack Hanna in late February and early November. Shamu's Halloween Spooktacular on specific weekend nights in October and SeaWorld's Viva La
Musica in late September.
During the summer nights you can catch "Mystify!". A celebration with fireworks, music and images projected onto a wall of water.
The Christmas celebrations take place annually from November 28th - December 31st.
Interactive Programs
In addition to the many attractions and shows you can also take part in interactive programs for an extra fee. They include; Trainer for a day, False Killer Whale Interaction Program, Animal Care
Experience and Sharks Deep Dive.
In its debut year, the park hosted approximately 950,000 people, making it the fourth most visited water park in the United States and the eighth most visited in the world.
Visiting SeaWorld Orlando
The entire Sea World park is accessible for wheelchairs and is open throughout the year.
Ticket prices vary as there are always different promotions so it's definitely worth shopping around.
The main entrance for SeaWorld Orlando is on Central Florida Parkway between Sea Harbor Drive and International Drive.
