The Shedd Aquarium houses was established in 1924 and houses 32,500 animals. It's aim is to connect people to the living world by engaging people, entertaining and inspiring them.
 
Animals at Shedd
At Shedd you can watch otters, octopus, whales, penguins, lizards, rays, sea jellies, dolphins, turtles and loads of fish from frog fishes to sharks. The exhibitions are called Aquatic Show, Amazon Rising, Caribbean Reef, Jellies, Abbott Oceanarium, Polar Play Zone, Waters of the World & Wild Reef.

Daily 9am - 5pm (longer on weekends)
 
Admission
There are different price packages available prices range from $8 - $35 for adults and $6 - $26 for children. The Chicaco CityPass and the Go Chicago Card also give you access to many of the attractions.

• The oldest aquatic animal in the world lives at Shedd. Granddad an Australian lungfish arrived at Shedd in 1933. He was already fully grown which makes him over 80 years old.
