General description: The Castle of Gibralfaro

Gibralfaro
Malaga's second Moorish fortress perches on a hill above the city, and is connected with the Alcazaba by an enclosed passageway. A footpath leads up the hill. A visit to the fortress is worthwhile for the view of Malaga and the harbour.
 
Inside the fortress are buildings and courtyards that have been restored so you can walk around them.

Tuesday to Sunday
Summer: 9.30am to 8pm
Winter: 9am to 6pm
Closed Mondays and 1 Jan, 28 Feb & 25 Dec
 
Entrance Fees
Normal: 2.10 euros
Joint ticket Alcazaba & Gibralfaro: 3.45 euros
Reduced: 0.60 euro.
Free entry Sundays after 2pm
