Set in South Tyrol Trauttmansdorf Castle was the beloved retreat of Empress Elizabeth of Austria. It was fully restored in 2003 and opened up for tourism. It is called the Touriseum - South Tyrol's regional museum dedicated to recounting 200 years of tourism history. the Gardens are the main attraction and are divided into 4 sections: Forests of the World, the Sun Gardens, Landscapes of South Tyrol and the Water and Terraced Gardens.
