A place travelers can visit Tuileries Garden
Reviews: Tuileries Garden
General description: Tuileries Garden
The Jardin du Tuileries or the Tuileries Garden were designed by Catherine de Medicis and modelled after the Gardens in her native Florence.Gardens of the Louvre
As a "front garden" to the Louvre, the baroque park was created back in 1564 and openned to the public in 1667 and after the French revolution it became a public park. It was one of the very first parks anywhere to be accessible to all the public and served as a model for many other parks in Europe.
Tip: In the Jardin des Tuileries you can grab a chair and sit wherever you like, for as long as you'd like - for free! A great place to come and relax.
