The Vatican Museum includes the actual museum as well as a part of the Papal Palace. The route through the whole museum covers a total of 7km!
 
Sacred Exhibition
The exhibition rooms include extensive ancient sculpture collections, collections of sacred art and ceramics and painting from the Italian masters. In the Papal palace youu can visit the Pope's apartments, Michaelangelo's legendary Sistine Chapel and a living room created by Raphael.
 
Visiting the Vatican Museum
Due to the prestige of this exhibition there are usually big crowds. Therefore expect long queues. It is also advisable to pay attention to the various boards with details of what is not allowed as the security personnel vehemently enforce the rules.
