Description
In 1873, Alfred Krupp built more of a castle than a villa, based on his own designs, as a place for his family to live. The building is set in a beautiful old park which slopes down to the River Ruhr. The rooms of the villa are opened for concerts and major exhibitions. Otherwise you must pay a small admission fee at the entrance to the grounds and in return for this you can visit one of the two permanent exhibitions on the history of the company and the history of the family.
The Krupp family resided in the largest family house in the Ruhr district.
