General description: Washington Zoo

The Washington National Zoo is also part of the Smithsonian Institution and is home to over 400 different species of animals. It is set within the Rock Greek National Park and covers a total of 163 acres.

Visiting the Zoo
Plan a full day if you'd like to see all there is to see. Some of thewonderful animals awaiting you at the zoo are giant pandas, lions, bears,tigers, giraffes, sea lions and many more. There are also plenty of refreshmentpossibilities and shops selling souvenirs.
