Following online recommendations we booked a 4 night trip with Yatours, followed by a few days organised on our own (relaxing at the seaside basically). Travelling with a small child and not willing to drive too much myself (it's a holiday after all), we let Udaya suggest an itinerary and arrange driver and accomodation in the center of the island.
All was sorted out via a couple of Emails and it turned out to be an experience exactly as we expected.
We got Sudath as our 'driver' but he's much more than that. He's a very experienced guide... Read more

We spent our first 10 days with YaTours, they were honest and ethical in all dealings with us and met all our requests with courtesy and always a smile. I was dubious about paying an upfront deposit but in hindsight felt silly as Ya Tours take genuine pride in what they do. They did not charge over the odds like a lot of the tour companies/drivers I enquired with. They booked all hotels I requested and also collected us from the airport. We had the holiday of a lifetime with the comfort and safety of Ya Tours. Our driver was Bandula and he is an absolute hero. He helped to make my fiancée and I feel safe and relaxed. His local knowledge ensured that we saw the best that there is to see in Sri Lanka. We stayed in the best hotels and we were not threatened or ripped off by locals as we had him with us (although I can't imagine we would have been anyway as everyone was lovely). We contacted YA Tours on their website, after seeking "driver" recommendations on Lonely Planet forum site. Several replies commented on YA Tours, so we contacted them and received a prompt response and price quote on what we proposed for our trip.
We wanted a car and driver for 9 days, as well as airport pickup on arrival, and transfer to our hotel.

Hi There,
We travelled around Sri Lanka from Colombo across to Sigirya, then to Kandy, climbed Adam's peak & then had a few days in Nuwara Elyia before heading to the beach at Unawatuna to relax for 5 days over next years.
Our driver was extremely knowledgable, with very good english. He always looked after our safety & had our interest as the first priority. We highly recommend using YaTours for a great experience around Sri Lanka.
