Zandvoort Beach is one of the finest in the Netherlands. It spreads out over 9km and on summery days is visited by around 10,00 people. It is a lively, fun place to soak up the sun.
 
Basking in the sun
The beach is lined with holiday huts which are occupied during the summer months by Amsterdammers on summer vacation. Beach pavilions are also scattered around offering everything a beach day tripper might need; food, activities, bathing apparel etc. In 1975 Zandvoort's Naturist beach was founded. It is a 3km stretch of sand to the south where nudists enjoy the sun without the tan lines.
 
Activities on Zandvoort Beach
The beach is known for being very clean and offering arrange of activities from kite surfing, windsurfing and sailing to simply strolling along the beach, cycling and swimming. There is also the Zandvoort Casino and F1 racing circuit. As it is only 24km from Amsterdam it is a very popular day trip destination.
