Day Trip to Luxor
In recent years I have done numerous day trips from Hurghada to Luxor as this is one city I find to be of historical interest to me, recently I was once more back in this wonderful city and this time
I used an Egyptian Private operator to get me to and from Hurghada the company Egypt Tours Portal gave me a really good deal for a day trip to Luxor picking me up by private car and transferring me
from Hurghada to Luxor this took around 4 hours vastly faster than most operated tours by coach, unlike most of the tours I have done in the past this one was more based on the West Bank of Luxor
including the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut temple at El Deir El Bahary finally a visit to the Colossi of Memnon before returning to the East Bank of Luxor and lunch this was included in the
price and was of a good standard, after lunch the last bit of the tour was centered on Luxor and the Nile starting with felucca ride on the Nile this is a traditional sail boat and gives you a
different perspective of the city of Luxor, after this is was time for a horse and carriage ride in Luxor this taking in some of the older parts of this very diverse city.
Unlike many other tours I have done of this particular city this tour was more at a relaxed pace and being a private tour I had the use of my own personal guide who was informative and very interesting, both the driver and Egyptologist were of the highest standard and indeed both had perfect English that is always a advantage as for the tour company that provided this tour all I can say is that they certainly offer a very professional service from start to finish.
Finally the advantages of a private tour are ten fold firstly you are in a small group and I tend to find the smaller the group the more you get to see and indeed the more you get to understand also you are not in a cramped condition of a long coach ride that can be uncomfortable and none to pleasant all in all I would recommend this company as being one of the best I have used of day trips I certainly will be using them again and indeed look forward to my next visit to Egypt.
