Heaven in Menaville Safaga - Red Sea !
When we arrived at the Hurghada Airport, we were awaited by the agent, who took us to the Menaville Resort & Hotel in Port Safaga. We had booked the hotel for 10 days, to do some excursions to
upper Egypt and going to dive.
When the demonstrations in Cairo began, which we only found out by chance, as all remained calm and peaceful as ever in Safaga. There was some unrest in the town later on, but we felt in no way threatened or scared.
The services in the hotel were very good, food fresh and the waiters swift. The rooms all with sea view from the balcony. Room - service was first class at all times of the day, which we enjoyed rather often, since we started to watch the rports on TV frequently at the later stage.
The diving operations by MenaDive, a German managed operation, was very good also, the dive spots well chosen and rather pristine with a vital fauna and flora.
We can only recommend the Hotel-Resort and the destination in general, and will return agin soon.
We would like to thank the Management, Mr. Allaa and his Team for their great hospitality and care for all the guests - as many had some difficult questions, which were sorted out in a fine, but clear and open way. All well done!
