An African safari adventure is an amazing experience that everyone should be fortunate enough to have at least once in their lifetime.

Yes I'd like to hear more too! I think a safari would be great - lets hear some tips from those who've already been.

Actually I've been on safari before. Me and my family went to South Africa twice. First time we only went to some small parks, but the second time we also went to Kruger, which was great. One night
we actually stayed inside the park. We also tried both morning drives and night drives. I really loved the night drive. You have to have sharp eyes to spot the animals, but the drivers are very
alert. The stars were also unbelievable. Living in the developed world, you don't realise how bright they can be. Stunning.
We saw all of the big 5 in the end, though I'd say leopards are the hardest to spot. I was a bit of a fan of the wild dogs and giraffes though. I like the way they run.

When I was a child I once went to Knowsley Safari Park on Merseyside - thats even better. Sometimes the baboons would completely trash cars that came through - tearing off the bumpers and bending the
aerials. When you're a kid it's a right laugh - but probably not when it's your car.

Reminds of the amorous lions I saw at Woburn Safari Park.

I've also been on a wild safari- in Botswana. It was an amazing experience, if you like living it rough for a little while! We were 10 days camping through the bush. During the day we drove around
with our guides in a jeep and we saw elefants, giraffes, lyons, and a bunch of other animals. At night we built our tents and chatted with the others in the group. A great trip! I also heard that you
can do good safaris in tanzania as well.

I've been on safari in southern africa and east africa and Kenya wins the prize. Kenya is accessible and safe and has done great things with its parks.
I would highly recommend Tsavo East which is easily accessible from the coast, but I've had magical game drives in Amboseli, Tsavo West, the Mara, etc.
Kenya offers a truely magical connection with nature.
We have used the same guide for several years ... he's safe and professional and when it come to game, he's knowledgable and has a keen eye. He has launched a website a couple of years ago ... www.safarisbycharles.com ... he's based in Watamu on the coast but I know he's done Kili and Mt. Kenya work as well ...
The photographs never recreate the moment and each moment on safaris has a special story ... enjoy!
