Hello All,

Here at HolidayCheck we're currently looking into starting writing both regular articles on various subjects and also a blog, which would be updated several times a week.

The question is: What do YOU want to hear about? Are there any topics you are particularly interested in or that you'd love to hear about? Are you more interested in hearing about personal experience, local knowledge, about hotels, or countries and cultures in general? Or something entirely different perhaps?

I would be interested in destination tips. Preferably insider stuff on European city destinations. My favourite city is Prague so it would be good if you could start there!
What excursions can you do if you're staying in the city, where are the insider tips on good hotels etc . . .

Prague is a very popular tourist destination and rightly so. Its historic centre is crammed full of beautiful old buildings. Most sights are concentrated in the, the Staré Město. This central hub is a great place to hang out. Top museums include the Municipal House, a cultural manifesto from the real bohemians and the museums of cubism and decorative arts respectively. The Prague city museum houses a wonderful model of the city in miniature – a good way of getting an overview of the city. The astronomical clock is one of the most photographed sites in the city. In the largely 19th century New Town Wenceslas Square is a focal point for bars, restaurants and a frenetic night life scene. For something a bit off the wall music pilgrims can pay homage to one of the all time great at the Lennon Wall a graffiti daubed monument to the Beatle, especially poignant in a country where Western music was long suppressed by the communist authorities. Another modern edifice offering an alternative point of view of the Czech capital is the Žižkov Television Tower – in a low rise city this offers an unparalleled perspective.

Hey Mark,

I liked the latest couple of blog entries - passed the gay destinations one on to a mate, cause it seemed different to the usual information! Just wanted to say keep up the good work
