What kind of immunisation would be necessary for a 2 weeks vacation in Thailand? Do you really need any special vaccination?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hey DiLeifi,
I went to Thailand last year and stayed about a month. You should definitely get vaccinations for Hepatitis A (and B if you plan to have any \"deeper contact\" with the people). You also should consider taking pills against Malaria (e.g. malarone). I didn\'t though, I preferred putting on the spray every day and night.
Have a good trip!

Hi!
I think you don't need to take Malarone in Thailand prior to your trip necessarily. There are only a few regions where it is recommended to use Malarone as a precaution. There are maps about this zones available on the internet. I think it's mostly the border to Burma. You should buy it, though and take it with you. Malarone can be used as a treatment for Malaria (only the Thai form of Malaria). Malarone is pretty good stuff, less side affects than other Malaria-Pills! But if you feel safer taking it, it's probably better to do so. You don't want to worry all the time a moskito bites you (and there are a lot!
