Thailand

I'd like, really really, like to go to Thailand someday. How expensive do you guys think it is? I don't know how much to save. What would be most expensive? Hotel, or flights or travelling? Or would flights be expensive but the rest be cheap? Has anyone been that can offer me some advice?

I visited Thailand several years ago and I don't think it was very expensive overall. The most expensive parts of my holiday was the flights. However, if you book early and get a good deal, even these won't break the bank. When in Thailand, everything is very cheap, even if you're in the cities. I went between Bangkok and Phuket and it's amazing how little everything costs. Some hotels can be a bit pricey, but if you're only looking for a place to sleep then don't shell out. Do make sure to check before you book though and make sure it is in a safe area. Anyway, my advice is just to do your homework and start saving up - Thailand is incredible and when you go, you will never forget it.

I agree - Thailand doesn't have to be very expensive, but the flights will put a dent in your wallet. But when you weigh that up against how cheap everything is comparatively, it doesn't seem half as bad!

I think you should definitely go - Thailand is lovely!
