Cities that you absolutely need to have seen are: Havana and Santiago de Cuba (note, they are on the opposite sides of the island so a little travel will be involted, which should be good to see the
country).
If you go to Havana you *have* to see the capitol!

The poor long for riches
The rich long for wisdome
But the wise desire only tranquility

Since you\'re interested in cigars from what I read, go to the Partagas factory in Havanna. My uncle went there, it\'s supposedly really interesting. A guide will explain everything to you, and you
can smoke a fresh cigar.
Otherwise there\'s not much i can tell you since I\'ve never been to Cuba.
Good luck in finding more infos.

Hi!
You should definitely visit Havana!! Just walk around the city , but do not stay there longer then 5 days (everyone wants money from you and you are sick and tired of that after few days).. And then, go to Varadeiro and enjoy nice beaches :)

General
Well Havana, Trinidad, Vinales, Santiago de Cuba, Baracoa, at least, is the opinion of Cuba-Junky.
Nature
For nature or eco tours go to Baracoa, Vinales, Topes de Collantes (Escambray), Granma Province (Siera Maestra Mountains)
Beach
If you want to go into a resort relaxing at the beach: Varadero, Jardines del Rey (Cayo Coco, Cayo Guillermo), Guardalavaca.
Scuba Diving
Maria La Gorda is best but there are many other diving areas around Cuba.

Being the largest country in the Caribbean, Cuba offers visitors a plethora of sights to see and places to enjoy. Start of your tour of Cuba in the capital Havana, the biggest city in Cuba as
well as in the region.
In Habana Vieja, visit the Plaza de Catedral where you can find one of the oldest churches in the Americas as well as the Centro Wilfredo Lam, an excellent art gallery that showcases both local and leading modern painters. The Plaza de Armas, is home to one of the most majestic buildings in Cuba, the Palacio de los Capitanes Generales, which was once the presidential palace
Varadero maybe Cuba’s top beach destination, but it still offers travelers plenty of places to visit and explore. You can find an excellent museum in the city as well as a fantastic park.
In Santa Clara, a visit to the monument of Che Guevara is a must and don’t forget to see the Monumento a la Toma del Tren Blindado, where Guevara captured an armored train of Batista troops.
Trinidad is one of Cuba’s most popular destinations as you can find a number of wonderful old colonial structures out here. Visit the Museo Historico Municipal, the Museo Romantico and the Museo Nacional de la Lucha Conta Bandidos while you are here.
