best time to visit Australia for an Adventure trip?

We are seven friends and having a collage vacation this year want to planning an adeventure trip with Whitewater rafting, horseback riding, hiking, etc. We would like to do those things in Australia this time around as well as scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef etc. When is the best month to go for best price, not during jellyfish season of course, and when it is warm around the 80's to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Is there any particular area of Australia/ New Zealand we should go? What areas can't be missed? I want to plan ahead to have the best trip ever!

You mentioned you want to go hiking, rafting, and all those outdoor stuff, You cannot cover australia in a month, it is huge. Unless you have unlimited budget that you can use planes to transport yourselves from state to state. In australia, I suggest you go north. off to the Northern Territory or QLD. best time is april may june when the winer approaches, summer in northern territory would require you a sunblock. If you guys are planning a car hire, get a campervan hire
this is the ideal way to discover point to point attractions without having to worry on  your accommodation.

In great barrier reef and the rest of Qld you can easy drive a campervan and find many campgrounds at cheap. In NT, you can free park as long as you dont see any signs that prohbit such

According to me, October is the best time to visit Australia for an adventure trip.

You should visit New Zealand as New Zealand is a perfect place for spending holidays & to do adventurous activities.I had also visited there & the activities i had done there are rafting, hiking, scuba diving, paragliding.The place you should visit in New Zealand is Auckland.
